The 24000
The goal of 24000.ORG is to raise awareness and funding to help eliminate preventable deaths of children in Africa. There are countless organizations that do great work across the globe, but here are a few things that make this charity unique. 24000.ORG started by seeing first-hand the issues facing children in Uganda while Tim and Heather were adopting their sons. This passion led to wanting to help children in in conditions that the Thompson's saw.
We are an all-volunteer organization and we are accountable for the money we are trusted with. Each year, our team returns to Uganda to personally see the work that is being done to make sure our assets are being applied correctly. We track the impact that we have made through the mosquito nets, water projects, and orphan care that we provide. We seek to reach villages all throughout Uganda and, as of the last couple of years, even into Kenya. We travel deep into areas where a lot of the times, the people we are helping have never seen Americans. We do that to show these people God’s love can find you anywhere.
